At Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, one will find hundreds of monks in scarlet robes.
Myriad monks, scattered all around the premises do create a challenge to isolate subjects for visual photographic appeal. As I walked around patiently, my eyes searched for patches of natural light. At a distance from these spots, I waited patiently for subjects to pass through them to create these contrasted and colorful pictures.

September 25, 2012 at 8:19 AMThe effect of light on the scarlet robes and serene faces is dramatic. The elegance of the old man with the teacup in black and white is timeless.
