During a visit to Pakistan in October 2014, I had an interesting encounter with a Fakir, who in a moment of smile had said, “Climb the heights of depth!”
For years, I was focused on scaling the ‘Heights of Height’, and am now attempting to climb the ‘Heights of Depth’. So during my return in 2017, I tried to search for the Fakir! Unable to trace him, I have found solace in the words of Shah Hussain,
Hor Vi Neevan Ho
Uccha Saru Gharoor Mein Kaddi Na Fal Paae
Go further deep down
Tall cypress, in its haughtiness, never bears fruit
