The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is a historical mosque in Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey and the capital of the Ottoman Empire (from 1453 to 1923). The mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior. It was built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I.
I got an opportunity to photograph the interior and surroundings of the mosque during a trip to Istanbul in Dec 2011.

May 11, 2012 at 5:15 PMAll the images are good. All the images except a couple had the perfect DOF. The first image was dramatic. Only thing that is disturbing are the clouds at the top left corner. Was just wondering why did’nt the HDR worked in this part of the Image.
