My arsenal of lenses have been added over a period of time to complement my evolving needs.

Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L USM : Centered around 50mm focal length, covering wide-angle to beyond medium telephoto, it is my lens of first choice. I use it for travel, portrait and to capture everyday situations.

Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS II USM : Serious impressionable telephoto work, to capture natural perspectives and dramatic scenes. Enables to isolate a spot and frame to create an expression with a nice background blur. I use it for portraits, to isolate landscapes and to generate flattened perspectives in studio environment.

Canon EF 16-35mm f2.8L II USM :
Create a unique visual world with intriguingly strong wide-angled perspectives. This is the lens that has helped train my eyes to dig deeper to create appealing perspectives. I always use it with Canon 5D Mark II camera body for landscapes as it’s full frame sensor helps enhance wide angle perspectives.

Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM : To create a tension in the image with background encroaching on the subject, though image compression. It’s extra ordinary shallow depth of field, helps pinpoint the focus on the subject alone. I use it for wildlife and in landscape to isolate a composition.

Canon EF 8-15mm f4L Fisheye USM : Creates an amazing world in 180 degree; making us go beyond the limits of human vision. In using this lens, It’s visual impact is so strong that I need to be cautious not to let the lens choose the picture over my photographic vision.

Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM : This is the “King” of portrait lenses. It brings any image to life with a bright natural look and a strong blur effect. I use it for female portraits to leverage it’s image softness capability. It is however an extremely challenging lens to operate as the USM motor is relatively slow and if the focus point is not targeted minutely on the eye, the image can loose the punch.

Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS USM : Capturing impressive scenes close to the subject. Before I purchased the 24-70mm f2.8 L USM lens, this was my most used lens. In the past it has helped me create portrait and landscapes but now I have limited it’s use to studio portraits. I prefer it over 24-70mm for this work because it offers that extra focal length to create that little bit of extra compression.

Canon EF 100mm f2.8 USM Macro : To get right up close to plants and insects, to capture the beauty of patterns created by a nature. I use this lens to achieve 1:1 life size images of small objects.

Extension Tube Set DG (12, 20 & 36mm Tubes) : These are not lenses but hollow tubes that I use as attachments to the EF 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens, to achieve even higher levels of magnification.

Lensbaby Composer Optic Kit and 0.42X Super Wide Angle : Selective control of depth of field to achieve photographic creativity. I use this seldom but whenever I do, it’s creative results impress me.
